Day Program
At The Bridge, an 8,600-square-foot activity center in Higginsville, Missouri, professional staff engage with participants to work on social skills and practical knowledge in pursuit of living as independent a life as possible. For many individuals, an in-between area like The Bridge provides a connection between life at home and the broader community.
For 25 years, individuals at The Bridge have been developing new talents and getting the opportunity to put those skills into practice in the community. Individuals participate in a wide variety of activities, both on- and off-site:
- Housekeeping and cooking

- Exploring nature
- Shopping
- Entertainment including movies, bowling, or attending a baseball game
